lighter wheels -> more speed/power???

Hello,

 

What do you think if i would change my original Honda Alu Wheels to

not so heavy wheels?

 

If i could save about 2-3kg / alu wheel, would i notice that in driving or

accelerating?

Not really.I have 18-inch racing wheels, one of this wieght 7,5kg.But I Think on my 16-inchs OEM rims I had a faster accelerating.The Topspeed is the same.

 

I think, the size of the wheels is better for perfomance.

ok...hmmm..then it is no use to change original Honda alu wheels to lighter alu wheels to have better acceleration. yes you have 7.5 kg wheels, BUT

how much original Honda Alu wheels 17-inch weight?? over 10kg? X(

when you use 18' rims with bigger tires, it is normal that your car isn't so fast and quick as on original 16' rims and tires.

 

In the same size for rims and tires, the easy ones are much better than the heavy ones, because there isn't so much moving mass.
