CU1 oil consumption

Hi, 

 

On my Accord Cu1 which has run great for the last 8 years (2012 and I bought it in 2014 and it  currently it has 260000km)  the oil consumption got through the roof. 

Until recently the oil consumption was 1l every 10k km. And since the last service the situation got ridiculously worse (first was 1l for 5k km) and now since 15k km from the service it consumes 1l for every 600km.

I did change the PCV and the situation is the same. 

I checked gor oil leaks and could not find any. 

 

Anyone has rhe same issue? 

Any advice on what to do? 

 

Currently I have scheduled a service for next week however and advice would be great. 

I really love the car I would like to keep - maybe even engine change. Any advice on where to find a new engine?

Hi, 

 

I once had this with another car. Soon after, the engine was dead. No compression. 

 

So, i would check the compression first and if it is ok, you can continue troubleshooting.
