If you could be a bit more precise surely someone might be able to help. I still haven't really come to grips with your problem / is it the engine which won't start or is it the satnav unit that isn't working? If its the sat nav unit is without fault this should help to force an update of the firmware. You need your Old sat nav DVD . 1. Start the engine. 2. error message appears on screen with old disc inserted. 3. Push 'MENU' and 'ZOOM DOWN' switches simultaneously for 2 seconds. 4. Screen turns to SYSTEM LINK page with a fanfare. 5. Press 'NEXT' switch (opens car staus page). 6. Press 'NEXT' switch (opens yaw rate page). 7. Press 'NEXT' switch (opens diagnosis menu page). 8. Select 'UNIT CHECK'. 9. Select 'FORCE DOWN LOAD'. System will now start to download the old operating system firmware from the old disc, showing progress on a green bar gauge. When finished the unit should be able to be started normally. Should you have a problem concerning the engine of your "set of wheels" there are some blokes who might be able to help if you explain in detail. Good luck Phil

Hi This * having a kind of mini sub woofer build in* would make a lot of sense. The base line is exceptionally good at least when I listen to classical music. I don't think much of Mp3's unless they are recorded with a bit rate of 320. Also, ich hab ne 2.4 ex vom 10/03 der hat premium sound system und inclusive hochtoener 8 speakers, von wo ich denke die in "parcel shelf " hinten sind sub's , unten parcel shelf ist ein box , not sure was das macht . besides , ich bin sehr happy mit dem sound besonders gut in wenn genuine cd's spielen. Are you sure the battery isn't dead ? I'm sure it is Your satnav unit hasn't got any effect on starting up the engine , the battery does ! Phil

Try to force download by using "map and zoom down" press and hold for a few seconds , once successful you should hear a fanfare confirming the menu Phil

Hi ich benuzte derzeit eine sicherheitscopy / software 04.72.00 and database 02.06.06.081007.12252 jedoch finde ich das boot vorgang und calculating von routes so viel langsamer als genuine dvd , koennte das daran liegen das der dvd gereingigt werden muss ?. wie kann das man machen. Ueberhaupt sone frecheit von honda £ 190 fuer ein dvd zu verlangen wodoch die technic schon sehr billig ist , ein tomtom kostet nichmal £100.:motz: Phil

Also ich das richtig versteh , in einer baustelle ist der anhaenger eines truck's in das auto smashed ? und du feahrst auf der linken seite der autobahn ? heisst das der truck war auf der middle spur, muss der truck da nicht shuld sein ? weil der muss doch ganz rechts fahren, ich dahcte das das nicht legal * road safe * fuer truck ist ein anderes vehicle zu uberholen ins der baustelle My heart goes out to you ! Thank you so much for shedding some light on the whole issue. I will be finding out soon whether or not the maps are updated, around London streets are often diverted, changed and I have gone lost in London on serveral occassions which always had been very frustrating. But to be honest, having again a working sat nav makes my day. As for german , thanks for the encouragement ;) Phil

Update on status . Nach viel hin und her habe ich nun endlich die loseung des problems gefunden. Di sat nav dvd ist broken , kabutt :( . Honda wollte mir ein charge von £75 berechnen fuer eine fehler analyses. hab ich nicht gemacht ,dachte ich versuch erst mal ein andere dvd which I found on ebay for a tener Eine frage hab ich doch , was ist unterschiedlich zwischen version 2.1 und 04.72.00 and database 02.06.06.081007.12252 Als ich das dvd eingelegte machte das sat nav sowas wie ein update aber ich kann keine untersched finden auch meine favorites sind all noch da . ist da ein unterschied ueberhaupt ? Btw , das sicherheits copy stammt von ebay ,, ein bloke aus Eire ist die am verkaufen Phil. My apologies , I know my german isn't that good and Online dictionaries don't really cut the custard

Hi, ich have keine ahnung ob defekt leider. Versuchte eine music DVD welche sofort ALS falsche DVD erkannt Aber satnav DVD don't do much, ausser re booting kan ich die DVD testen ob noch geht richtig? Mein Honda dealer will mich chargen( labour) fuer test am sat nav. So am nicht sicher was muss ich tun um zu wissen wo der fehler ist
